NCLEX-RN

The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) is a nationwide examination for the licensing of nurses in the United States, Canada and Australia since 1982, 2015 and 2020 respectively. National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) an independent, not-for-profit organization based in the USA through which nursing regulatory bodies act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting public health, safety and welfare, including the development of nursing licensure examinations. NCSBN developed the uniform licensure requirements to provide boards of nursing (BONs) with a standardized set of criteria for making licensure decisions in order to assure that all nurses, whether educated domestically or abroad, are safe and qualified to practice.
